My name is Bamidele Jelani.
My name, Bamidele Jelani, has a special meaning. Bamidele means "bring me home" and Jelani means "mighty," or "full of strength."
I needed that strength to survive the harrowing journey I am about to tell you of.

My story (from QR code above)
I was born in 1677 in Mozambique, East Africa. I grew up with my brother, Chidike, and my caring mother Ife.
Two days after I turned 16, my life changed drastically. I will never forget the day I first spotted their ships on the horizon.
